Rusted railroad spike from abandoned train tracks. OLD!
Used in spells of protection and to anchor yourself to your property. Often, spikes are placed at the cardinal points around the property for protection. Then can be placed on either side or both sides of doors to protect a house from evil spirits. They have been used to prevent eviction as well as to hold on to your property.
They can also be used to nail down a situation to keep something from progression - for example, write on a sheet of paper something that does not need to grow/advance and nail it into the ground with a railroad spike.
They can be used on an altar to deities that like railroad spikes. They can also be used to represent strength and stability on your altar.
Railroad spikes also represent strength and power.
Two railroad spikes can be bound together (or welded) to form a christian cross or an X and placed above a doorway for protection - be sure they cannot fall on top of someone.
