The frame is plastic. It fits inside the face mask. It has clips to slide the edge of the mask in. The frame is cupped so tha the mask is held away from the nose and mouth.

It helps make it easier to breath and helps to keep the little fibers in the mask from tickling you.

The frame is very light weight. Easy to attach to the mask.

Manufacturer recommends the narrow end by placed at the top of the mask, large end at the bottom. However, you can turn it the other way if you like.

The frame is reusable. Each frame helps to remove plastic waste from the ocean.
