This is an antique, brass, statue, Six Perfections of Buddha, made in India. This is the Shakyamuni Buddha in vajra pose. His right hand is making the Earth Touching mudra. The Earth Touching mudra is also known as Bhumisparsha Mudra. This mudra represents the moment when the Buddha called upon the Earth to witness his enlightenment. It symbolizes his victory over temptation and distractions. This mudra is made by the right hand touching the ground while the left hand rests in the lap, emphasizing stability and resolve. He is seated upon a rectangular pedestal that is supported by two lions. There is a multiple image carving that begins with two dwarves. The dwarves represent colossal strength in a small form. There are six creatures representing the six perfections. At the top is Garuda devouring a long snake. Garuda is a bird like creature that is the mount of Lord Vishnu. 1). The two lions represent the perfection of wisdom (prajna). 2). The two elephants represent the perfection of concentration (dhyana). 3). The two dwarfs represent the perfection of effort (virya). 4). The two makaras represent the perfection of patience (kshanti). 5). The two nagas represent the perfection of morality (shila). 6). Garuda represents the perfection of generosity (dana).
