This is a figure of the Hindu Goddess Durga or Kali.

The statue depicts Durga/Kali defeating the buffalo demon Mahishasura after a nine day batte.

Goddess Durga was created from the combined powers of Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma to kill him.

Kali, depending on the legend, was crated by the Goddess Parvati to destroy the world after Lord Shiva beheaded Lord Ganesha, also created by Parvati to guard her bath, after returning from battle and Ganesha refused to allow him entry.

Durga and Kali, depending on the source, are manifestations of the same Goddess.
